I guess its their fault that I have to ask who these men are? SHAME!
ReplyDeleteMarcus Garvey started the Africans for Africa movement. He preached mental repatriation - not necessarily physical repatriation. That was for Blacks to come together and uplift OUR continent Africa. Ghanaians especially ought to know about him because he is the inspiration behind our soccer team being named Ghana Black stars as well as the black star on our flag.
ReplyDeleteToussaint Louverture led the first successful revolt to free black slaves from 3 different imperialist regimes. It is sad if the name Napoleon Bonaparte sounds more familiar to blacks than the name Toussaint Louverture.
